While there is confident permeability data in the middle of the field, there is no information about the western extension.

Two scenarios are possible:

1. Increasing grainstone towards the west and south.

2. The grainstones have formed over the structure.

Core Perm.

Two wells have been cored in the field and this shows that

the primary controls on permeability are presence of grainstone facies. The facies need to have seperate relative permeability for simulation.

Well Test Perm.

Scenarios

9 wells in the field have reliable well tests over the reservoir.

Please Note:

This is just some example data to illustrate the workflow. In a real example there are many other considerations:

  • How to calculate average K for the well test.
  • The core data is on a smaller scale
  • There are porosity depth trends influencing perm
  • Vertical facies trends exist
